This book is very useful for me for the safety of medicine prescription to pregnant or lactating women. It is like dictionary of medicine for those women, but the Kindle or e-book system does not allow searching of each medicines. My evaluation for this book is that book itself is excellent but e-book is not satisfactory, so I am considering to purchase paper book again. Imagine dictionary that is not searchable but readable by each page... this e-book is it. If I can search each medicine, I would be appreciated and be satisfied.
I depend on this book as a pharmacist. I did notice that the 2012 (9th edition) has a really bad e-book website, however this 2014 (10th edition) is on inkling and a lot easier to use electronically. When viewed on the desktop version of inkling, i can actually highlight copy/paste text as needed to enhance the information in my orders as i process them, this is great.
Some drugs' informations are removed in the tenth ed with the note that they are not marketed. This is a very nice and universal reference book that is usedall around the world. So ı think all of them should have been included keeping in consideration that some other countries are still using the drugs that are not marketed in USA.
It maybe good for other drugs but not so much for psych drugs. Data for psychotropics are not the best quality and not up to date. I was hoping the book included studies and data up to 2014. Lithium is not an antipsychotic, it's a mood stabilizer.
Incredibly useful as a primary care physician. Has detailed explanation of research about the drugs that goes much deeper than the ABCX classification.
great resource in print and electronic.
great reference for someone in family practice who doesn't see OB patients or nursing mothers very often.
My go to book in family practice when I have any pregnant or breast feeding moms
