What separates this author from most others that I come across in this genre is how well Eric Meyer is able to blend very realistic combat and military accuracy into a plot that is action packed and entertaining through just about every chapter. It’s not hard to tell that the author has a genuine grasp and understanding of military conflicts and practices – it truly shows throughout the story which helps add a feeling of allure that is hard to come by in the action/thriller genre these days.Another thing that I admire about the story is that the main protagonists aren’t just these perfect, faultless characters – instead, they genuinely endure some hardships and battles with a sense of realism that at some points makes you wonder if they’re even going to make it, which in turn, makes it hard to stop reading, as it’s the type of book that has a great hook in the beginning that doesn’t let go until the very end. This is one of the shorter books that I’ve read by the author, but I think it works really well and I’d say that the author has taken advantage of just about every page to deliver what I ultimately consider a top quality read. I highly recommend “ISIS Broken Arrow” to any fans of the genre.
It's a short story with a fast opening with Bravo Team having to deal with terrorists on a plane just before Christmas. Once that is dealt with it is on to the snow capped mountains of middle east. A Russian plane with a nuclear bomb on board has crashed and ISIS wants to get their hands on it. It's up to Bravo to find it first and of course take down a few ISIS fighters in the process.
I enjoyed this book. They seemed to make it a point to say that ISIS is the enemy of all mankind, and although we're different, we'd all better agree on that, and rid the world of them.
This short story is not short on excitement and action. Anyone who enjoys military stories that respects today's heroes in the Special Forces will love this story!
As soon as it was clear the author thought New York was indeed a logical stopover for a flight enroute from Alaska to San Diego, any hope for a good book was lost. Then when it was announced as a flight from Ankara, which is in Turkey, it was a lost cause. It got worse from there. The only good thing about the book is it is mercifully short.
Erick Meyer at his best as he integrated complex entities to form a coalition of defenders as well as Herod and included a female main character who has other assets than just her sensual attraction.
This was an excellent introduction to Eric Meyer's story telling... I can visualize this series as a mini series on a cable or subscription channel (, Hulu...)
This book is packed with action. I prefer longer books in the 500 to 700 pages, but this kept me on the edge of my chair.
