I am in OB/GYN Women's health rotation right now and this book is priceless. Its up to date, down and dirty so you can keep moving and think on your feet. This is my second pocket medicine book and I am now loyal to them after trying others. If you only need one other thing get uptodate for your electronic device with pocket medicine in your lab coat and you can fly during your day without a need for anything else.Keep up the good work!
my husband was using " pocket medicine " for a years.. and i have been waiting for OBGYN edition. i was soooo excited . and i was not disappointed,,,, for a week now every time i got the answer i need from my pocket. thank you for everyone who make my dream true.
I had used Pocket Notebook for medicine all throughout my clinical years of medical school and couldn't be happier with the OB/GYN version. As a medical student, it was easy and efficient to look up clinical conditions using the notebook. Now, as an incoming intern, this is going to be my go-to. Cross-referencing certain topics with Practice Bulletins and CMEs demonstrates excellent correlation between the pocket notebook and what is up to date in the literature. It tells me exactly the answer I am looking for 99% of the time without all of the extra "fluff" that comes with reading textbooks, articles, etc. when I am in a time crunch.
What the field of OBGYN has needed. I'm on OB resident and have looked for years for a pocket sized guide like it's counterpart in medicine has. This guide is really great. I recommend it for all medical students, triage nurses, midwives, residents and physicians. It has the basics--much of which people in practice a few years have probably forgotten. And it has a lot of specific answers to seemingly hundreds of clinical problems. And I have time to read it and consult it on my very busy schedule as a resident.
Wow, this book made me, an fp resident, look like a pro among my ob counterpart. Definitely useful in clinic as well. Works super well on my Kindle app. Very well indexed and organized.
Good reference, terrible index. I so rarely find what I'm looking for in the index that I use the table of contents to decide what chapter the topic MIGHT be covered in, and then scan the whole chapter looking for it. I recommend annotating the index as you go for things you look up. Good breadth of info though. I'm a certified nurse midwife and use this book every day, especially for more medically complex patients that I see in clinic.
