If you’re looking for a clever read with zany characters, a blossoming romance, and electric high adventure, this one’s for you! Reisig’s newest offering is guaranteed to keep you locked to your seat and slapping at the pages, while burbling out a chuckle or two. In the fifth book of this series, our reluctant Caribbean heroes, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell, find themselves competing for the affections of a beautiful antiquities dealer while searching for the lost treasure of Mexico’s most renowned desperado/national hero. In the meantime, they’re doing their best to avoid a nasty collection of south-of-the-border bandits who want what Kansas and Will are trying to find. Wrap all this together with an antique dagger that holds the secret to a golden legend, a mysterious tribe of Indians, and a tale of vengeance that can only be resolved with “Pancho’s gold,” and you’ll find yourself headed, “Down The Road To Key West.”

Once again I met my goal of reading every one of Michael Reisig's books. I just finished Down The Road To Key West. And, let me tell you, I am currently dealing with a major personal crisis that could easily distract one from a few hours of reading. None the less, when I started reading Down The Road To Key West, I couldn't put it down. I know, I know, well worn cliche. But if you only knew... Thanks again Michael, for the wonderful story, well developed characters I am so familiar with (and a couple of new ones thrown in just to entice the spice a little), traipsing around Mexico and the Caribbean, wonderful and enjoyable locations you so fully utilized before as your story's battlegrounds. Michael - you sir - have out done yourself again. I cant wait for the next one.Roy L. "The Road to Key West" Series introduced me to Michael Reisig the author and I have been a fan of everything he has written since and prior. If you are intrigued with the idea of a good treasure hunt, ( and I'm a sucker for it) you will not find a better story than "Down The Road to Key West! I have been waiting for Michael to revisit the Kansas and Will characters in the next book of the series and I was not disappointed. The search for Pancho Villas Gold takes the guys away from their well funded, Florida Keys lifestyle and drops them into the heart of Mexico for a dusty adventure that is not short on suspense, hooks, bad guys who want to kill them and, of course, a beautiful girl ! A reader can easily tell when an author does his homework on the subject and Michaels writing on the subject of Pancho Villa had me looking at maps as I read and doing my own research. I will not give away the end but I must say that you must get this one...as a matter of fact....you should get the whole series! It will make a treasure hunter out of you too!!!

WOW did I enjoy this book. I, like most reviewing here, have read all of Michael's books. Will and Kansas though are my favorites. This book took the adventure to a new level. Just when you thought the adventure was over a new twist of fate. At one point I thought the story was about over and my kindle showed only 85% complete and in a few pages the adventure was on again. This book as adventure, treasure hunting, and more. I hope Micheal isn't done with Will and Kansas just yet.

This is a marvelous tale with a heavy grain of truth. Our dashing pair of heroes stumble upon a trail of gold, and with no common sense, follow all the leads. Of course we also have a few bad guys, a vixen in distress, and heathen indian guides. A delightful story!

any time i read one of michael reising's books it is a sit down, grab a beer and read it straight through.....my wife hates him :) if you like a good adventure series, just read these books.....besides, any book that has a grumman flying boat in it has to be a winner! please write more books in this series michael because there's a little bit of pirate in all of us!

Boy oh boy, Michael Reisig has whipped up a storm with this fifth book in the exciting series! Every time I thought things were coming to a climax, there was another suspenseful and exciting twist to the story. This is one book not to be missed!!

It's another Reisig winner! Those rascally Caribbean adventurers Kansas Stamps and Will Bell go in hot pursuit of the legendary lost treasure of Pancho Villa. In this fifth book of the wildly successful Key West series, Michael Reisig sends his popular but reluctant protagonists to the Villa stomping grounds after a visit from that old Rastaman, Rufus, as they follow an antiquities specialist in possession of an authentic cipher and his knowledgeable and beautiful daughter, Max. They must survive attacks by murderous bandits and a revenge crazy antagonist. Along the way, they requisition the assistance of old 'Nam pilot, Crazy Eddy, and war buddies. Reisig describes his characters so well you can smell the sweat; along with the fetid odor of the jungle. This is just plain non-stop fun you can't interrupt. Given an advance copy to read, I drop everything else--you'll want to do the same!

All these books make me want to go live there but the bugs would be too much for me. These are definitely in the realm of fantasy fiction plus some good old criminal activity that our heroes need to get around. I am disappointed that they always seem to pick the wrong women to get involved with but hey...all's fair in love and war. These are fun novels but after a while the sameness of the theme gets a little stale. However they are still fun and each one is a bit more fantastic than the other. And of course there is the whole alien otherworldly quality to them.
