From the best-selling author of “The Road To Key West” comes a sequel guaranteed to take the reader even higher – another rollicking, hilarious Caribbean adventure that will have you ripping at the pages and laughing out loud. “Back On The Road To Key West” reintroduces the somewhat reluctant adventurers Kansas Stamps and Will Bell, casting them into one bizarre situation after another while capturing the true flavor and feel of Key West and the Caribbean in the early 1980s. An ancient map and a lost pirate treasure, a larcenous Bahamian scoundrel and his gang of cutthroats, a wild and crazy journey into South America in search of a magical antediluvian device, and perilous/hilarious encounters with outlandish villains and zany friends will keep you locked to your seat and giggling maniacally. (Not to mention headhunters, smugglers, and beautiful women with poisonous pet spiders.) You’ll also welcome back Rufus, the wacky, mystical Jamaican Rastaman, and be captivated by another “complicated romance” as Kansas and Will struggle with finding and keeping “the girls of their dreams.” So pour yourself a margarita, and get comfortable. I've read all of Michael Reisig's books in the last couple years. They are well written in that they have a great mix of the "human character", plots that are beyond imagination, adventure galore, reaccuring bad guys that just won't go away, and of course all of this combines for the best page turner novels possible. I've turned out the night light many times after 2:00 AM. This is why I love fiction. Mr. Reisig's imagination is unsurpassed and he delivers his stories with literary expertise. I have about ten favorite authors that I read everything they write, and I'm happy to have added Michael Reisig to this list.

Another great one from Michael. His ability to merge character roles with the story is a talent of his that always comes through. I have read all of his books and he keeps my interest high through out the adventure. It is obviously he does his homework in researching the topics of his books as the story is consistent with the books characters. I look forward to his next adventure and hope he continues in the Caribbean theme as he brings it's colorful characters into the suspense of the novel to make it a humorous and intriguing hodgepodge of suspenseful reading. You never know whats coming up next in the story. Great work Michael, keep it up.

I'm on my third Michael Reisig book of these Key West Road adventures and am thoroughly enjoying this one, too. Being a Jimmy Buffett fan, I really enjoy the references to him and his music through the books. These two guys, Will and Kansas, are ordinary guys who keep finding themselves in extraordinarily exciting fixes and it's hard to put the book down! Highly recommend.

Reisig has done it again! I loved "The Road To Key West" and this new one picks up where that left off, providing even more wild adventure, squirrely characters, and humorous situations. I don't want to give too much away, but that scene with the crazy monkey in the elevator with the old lady and the Pekinese is as funny as funny gets., Aside from some laugh-out -loud spots, this is a fast-paced novel with a great plot that bounces you around the Caribbean and keeps you flipping the pages. You're not going to be bored, I promise. Can't wait to read his third, "Along The Road To Key West"! Bill Snell

This is a romping stomping novel about two hippie treasure hunters back in the early 80s. The plot gets so twisted and the solutions to the problems seem so evident (without all the included drama) that it gets annoying at times. Then too the resolution to these troubles are very unlikely at best. It reads more like an old screenplay but without the visuals for the comedic parts it falls rather flat.

I really liked the first novel in this series, but this one might be better. "Back On The Road To Key West" runs the full adventure gamut -- lost treasure, wild villains, crazy friends, muddled romance, and an ancient device that could change the world (or make someone a lot of money). But in between it all this book keeps a perfect balance between pace and humor -- never letting you relax, never letting you feel comfortable that you know what's coming, and offering a chuckle when you least expect it .If you want to be taken away to the islands, if you want a short vacation that will make you smile and banish all the BS of daily life for a while, this is the book -- a great gift to all those Caribbean souls. Here's a quote from "Crazy Eddie," one of the characters in the book, that pretty well describes the nature of this novel: "You gotta remember that this whole life gig ain't about makin' it to the grave all clean and shiny and well preserved. It's about slidin' in head first, roughed up, used up, worn out, and shoutin' loud and clear, `Hot damn! What a trip, dude!"

Take a trip back to 1980's Key West with Kansas Stamps and Will Bell and let the ride begin! These two fortune hunters incur considerable adventure and are, fortunately, not without considerable support. The cast of characters in a Reisig fiction adventure thriller are described down to the stutter and picturing the scene is effortless. Life with Kansas and Will is never dull--a romp through situations you'd swear are almost real--you can't make this stuff up! Oh wait! It is fiction--too bad--as the circumstance of this plot has them in possession of a 300+ year old map that will recover a single priceless treasure. From the Caribbean to the steaming, fetid jungles of South America picking up crazy characters along the way you can almost smell, these two manage to fall in love and lose almost as often as their fortunes. This is a mind-blowing treasure answering the age old question of the construction of some of the ancient wonders of the world--AH!! It has to be as there can be no other explanation to the exploits of these primeval cultures. I love the delicious way Michael Reisig paints the picture of his protagonists as well as the antagonists--no one gets shorted by Michael's pen. And the whole thing adds up to a delightful word-smithed Caribbean cocktail. This being part of the Key West series you can take heart when the book comes to a conclusion--another adventure by our beloved characters is just around the corner!
