Exactly what I was looking for. The pictures are instructions are wonderful. I had one of these books years ago and decided to update. I am very happy I did. This book is great for students in nursing as well as us old timers, can't remember every procedure, and this book gives you the best assistance
As an experienced RN I was put into a position to write quite a few procedures for competencies-this book was fair. Some of the instructions seem almost convoluted in their explanations. I thought it would be more forward in a step-by-step format. Just okay.
Great explanations with clear, precise pictures depicting critical steps; some showing up-to-date/current/common equipment used in clinical care. I really like this book and have it handy in the RN's station drawer for use in a pinch if I want to be certain I am proficient in the performance of unfamiliar care practices. Excellent book. I downloaded the Kindle version after I had been out of practice as an RN for 2 years. It is a great refresher. It is also handy to have on my phone instead of carrying an entire book on the floor. A very helpful resource.
This book is actually necessary for me, many times you need a quick review on nursing procedures and not able to get assistance, this book breaks down and explains how to set up and complete the procedures. Very accurate
It has a lot of good information, basic nursing information from all areas. Some is review, some is new for me. I like to have a book like this at hand, to look up the things I am not so familiar with, or encounter not so often. Well written.
