This is the first time that a book drove me to write a review... well I used to shop at physical bookstores they don't need my opinion anyways.But my point is, this is great.. I'm so tired of the "inspirational quotes", not that I ever purchased one, I have heard enough in daily life already.THIS, is a good quote book. I wish I'll find more of these. Books on sarcastic language, honest mockery...Have you noticed something? Have you noticed that books on success and inspiration make you feel bad, like you haven't done well enough? As if you are not happy or positive enough?Now books like this bring the sunshine..the warmth and laughter.Good buy.
This actually made my blood pressure go up. Why? Because an unbelievable number of quotations were attributed incorrectly, worded differently than the original source, and a handful of quotes appear multiple times and each time, shocker, they are attributed to completely different people. Not sure what's worse; the author being lazy, or his publisher allowing it. I'm not being harsh for no reason. This compilation is *that* bad.
This book is hysterical. When I find myself ina bad mood, usually created by some A**Hole, I pick this up and read a few passages. It always makes me feel better. It doesn't take long to find a comment that reflects perfectly to whatever created the bad mood.
Love, love, love this book. A quote for everyone. I laughed my ass off. Took away favorites to use as needed.
Entertaining reading. You're sure to find an appropriate remark for most every occasion. I found a lot of quotes I was familiar with, but never knew who was responsible for originally saying them. So if you like to display your sarcasm as often as I do, this is your handbook!
Terrible title! These quotes are actually thoughtful, at times humorous and witty, but unless you have political or philosophical issues with the persons quoted, there is nothing A**h**e about them. I was hoping for something raunchier to zing at my husband or the under thirty crowd to shut them up once in a while. If I uttered any of these, I'd sound like a pompous wannabe who googled " The Best Way to Sound Like You Read Books of Quotes" .
If you're on the bus/train, in the bathroom, on break, or whenever you have time to kill, this book is perfect for those situations. The quotes are very funny, smart, and some are even obscure. It's good stuff in here.One of the best book of quotes that I've found in a long time. I definitely recommend this if this is the type of thing you are looking for.
I am a fan of quote books and a bit of a smartass myself so when I stumbled across this book I thought I had struck gold. Man was I wrong. This book of quotes is much like any other except in the first chapter I found several misquotes or improperly attributed quotes. Buried in between all of this is are blurbs from the author that are asinine at best. Once you get into it the book becomes more enjoyable as you figure out how to recognize and avoid wasting your time reading these. I am pleased that I bought this as a bathroom book because it really is a steaming pile of crap.
