This book gives helpful information for the "clueless" new dad in a way that is easy to read, non-preachy, and to-the-point. Good for the dad who hates to read (like my husband)! The author covers more than just baby care topics, addressing how to help and get along with mom, understanding what the new mom is going through, how to take care of your own health, and how to achieve work/life balance, among many other topics. Great overall book for the overwhelmed new parent. The author presents the information from an "in my experience" point-of-view and is very easy to relate to, like a good buddy giving you advice. Highly recommended.
I liked it because it's short, easy to read, and it's still informative. Yes the book is short but it covers basically the need to know stuff. The book is easy to read because the author relates subjects well to the common dad. The author covers many things rookie dads like myself need to be involved in; for example: doctor appointments, child care, helping wife, etc.I recommended this book probably to first time dads. It took me about three months to read what to expect books and it only took me a few days to finish this book.
The writer nailed it!!I am personally thanking him for creating these books.I instantly got his humor, and as I read further, I felt that a friend, seasoned with experience was with me & preparing me as a friend or a mentor would. I appreciated his input!I found this book to be a very useful roadmap to fatherhood. He covers it all, and relates it to what's relative.I'd recommend it to any new dads or soon to be... This guy did his research and he lays out the facts for us to becoming good dads.Thank you!Ed H
Great book for any new dad. There are so many questions that you have as a new dad and this answers so many of them. I can honestly say that as I read the book I went out and bought items mentioned in the book.
Good information throughout with a lot of survival tips and recommendations. I actually bought this book instead of "dude you're gonna be a dad" because I thought this was an updated version - the title was so similar.
A great review of all the crap you will encounter after the big day. Reassured me that I wad on the right track and revealed some options I didn't consider. A quick easy read.
My husband loved this book as a first time dad-to-be. A great read with a guy perspective on pregnancy and how to support your Mom-to-Be!
Picked up this book as it was highly ranked. I still have another 4 months or so till becoming a dad, and I think this book provided helpful insight. I also love the somewhat comical tone of the book.
