this book helped me in the class and has a lot of examples and step by step. it also comes with a cheat sheet in the back of the book that way you dont have to keep looking through the chapters for the formula which was a great help and time saver
This is a very easy to understand textbook. I used it for a course I had previously taken at a different school and found it much easier than my previous textbook. Strangely, the chapters use almost the exact same answers for most of their problems. I suppose it's for simplicity, but it would have been nice to see a better variety. I feel like Chapters 8 and 10 could have been explained a little better though. Some of the answers to the extra problems, shown in the last few pages of the book, are incorrect. I'm not sure if this is a flaw for some books, or if it's a flaw for every book in the 10th edition. My professor verified the answers were incorrect. Otherwise, a good book! I wish I had bought this book instead of renting it, because it's just that helpful.
This text is terrible. I mean really, 11 editions later and there are so many mathematical mistakes. The answers in the back are sometimes wrong, sometimes there is an answer, but no question. There are even answers in the back that are not listed in the text readings. I'm sad that there are 3 authors to a textbook that is supposed to teach students and the students and instructors find so much wrong with the text. Maybe it's me, but I feel like a text, especially math, should be if not perfect, close to it. Definitely not having every chapter with wrong information because it makes one crazy as it is difficult to know if the problem is being solved correctly or not. These authors and Pearson should be ashamed to publish a text for so many years. I guess they do it just for the money and do not care about students learning. Anyway, our instructors are changing the text because it has so many mistakes. So, if you are in a class with this text, I would ask the instructor to change it for another text.
This book shows you step by step how to solve may of the math problems you encounter in nursing. I have been out of school for over 20 years and could not remember how to do many of the problems, but this book has helped me a great deal. If you are taking some type of math class for the health field, this book is for you.
This book was a class requirement for my nursing program. Not sure if I will need to keep it or will resell it. I am glad carrys this item since I was able to save 10% - 20% off the bookstore prices even with the shipping cost added in.

I wish the school I was in would of used this book for Math. This book has a very easy way to look at Medical Dosage and how to use the formulas. I hate the book our school gave us it was too confusing!!! Actually if it wasn't that I watched a Youtube video would have never found out about this book! Thank you!!
