I am a 63 year old nursing student taking Pharmacology. This drug handbook is like my go to drug bible. It has so much information. I had no idea what "Tall Man" letters was when my professor briefly mentioned it in class. While I was thumbing through the safe drug administration section I came upon the section on Tall Man letters along with the drugs that look-alike(ex. Acetazolamide and Acetohexamide). The Zolamide and the Hexamide are highlighted in upper case letters to minimize medication errors. There's a section on Drug classes and is very helpful when making drug cards for pharmacology and clinical. If nursing students are going to be safe practitioners it would be worth the money to invest in a good drug book. Yes, there are other drug books out there but are you looking for a drug book or a drug book with quality and depth of information. This is why I gave McGraw-Hill Nurse's Drug Handbook 5 stars.

This book is vital for any prepper that plans to stockpile antibiotics or other drugs. It gives clear and specific information for most if not all commonly used pharmaceuticals. From usage to dosage it is all covered in this handy book. Just remember...no book can take the place of an actual Doctor and I would never self medicate if other options are available, but in the off chance that the stuff really does hit the fan, this book will be worth its weight in gold.
