I loved this book. It was very informative and opened my eyes to a lot of things. My daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first baby in August and it will be my first grand-baby. I felt I needed to understand the dynamics of grand-parenting a whole lot better than I did, and this book did not disappoint.I originally heard about the book from an add in the paper I saw one day at work. Angela Bowen was doing a book signing at Crandleberries in the town where I live. I am a writer and have quite a few books for sale on  and I wanted to talk to another author in the area because I seldom get to meet other writers. Needless to say, I was unable to make the book signing, but purchased the book online anyway. I'm so glad I did!Only thing I was looking for in the book that I didn't find was info for Rhesus moms. My daughter is O negative and hubby is positive. Though I've done extensive research on this topic, and I am confident all will be fine, I wanted to hear a nurses perspective of this. My daughter has to get the Winrow shot. Perhaps it wasn't relevant to put it in the book, but I still would have liked to read about it since it pertains to my daughter and my grand-baby.I was also surprised by people's attitudes when I told them I was reading a book about how to be a grandma today. Most laughed and told me there is no way to be prepared, or nothing I could read that would help me know how to grandparent better. Well I beg to differ, I told them. Actually this book is exactly what grandma's-to-be need. I explained it was more about how things have changed since we raised our kids.
