First off, hands down I really benefited from the use of this drug guide. It was perfect for in class use as well as clinical use for nursing school. It truly is one of the most trusted names in drug guides (my grandmother still has her Davis's guide from when she was a practicing nurse.)However, in regards to actually purchasing the book was a completely different situation. I have Prime, so I purchased the book that was Prime eligible. Mine happened to be sold by . I thought "this is great, I have Prime so I'll get it here in about 3 days." WRONG. Just because they say "2 day shipping" DOES NOT mean that you will get it any sooner...especially if they decide to wait 12 days before they ship it out!! All of my other books (10 books total) came within 3-4 days of purchase. But this was a nightmare, especially since I needed it right away. If I would have known that it would take 2 weeks to get my "Prime eligible" book to me, I would have paid a private seller more to get it to me in an appropriate time frame.

Davis' is hands down the best drug guide out there for nurses. I love the format of the book and how each drug monograph is written. in particular the "Nursing Implications" section for each drug is awesome and makes planning care and knowing what to focus in on so much easier.

This drug guide is a great resource for many drugs, however it does not provide complete coverage on all frequently prescribed medication. Some important drugs were relegated to an abridged section in the back of the book that contains less information. Unfortunately, I was required to research one of the drugs in that abridged section for nursing school, and I had to seek more complete information elsewhere.

This book has everything you need. It worked well for me until I found Mosby's drug book which I prefer over this one any day. Just my personal prefence. I find that this one overloads you with signs and symptoms whereas Mosby's helps to identify more common and serious things to look for. I also think the nursing considerations are easier to identify with Mosby's. That being said, this book still has everything you need for a good basis on meds.

My go to for when I did pharmacology in nursing school!!!! I suggest every nursing student buys this and keeps it close, write your name in it as well that way no one can steal your book, that is how valiable it is. Especially when you do your drug cards, it is a great reference source and the size is perfect for toting around to clinicals and school.

The book is good. It ships fast. I got it when I need to use in my class. However, the content of this book is not really enough for my class. I found many drug that I need to know are not in this edition. I am a little bit disappointed but overall it's ok.

This not only contains the bare-bones information about drugs, like their pathways and contraindications, it also contains the nursing focus, interventions, and teaching, which is IMMENSELY helpful for any nurse, but is REALLY helpful for nursing students in getting the focus in the right place. All the need-to-know information is even highlighted in red throughout the text, so you get your immediate focus at a glance and don't have to dig around.Definitely recommend this one as one to keep around, at clinical, in class, or wherever.

Arrived on time and in great condition! The CD was there (never opened) and the code for the website had never been used. A GREAT bargain that will be very useful for monitoring my family's medications. I found contraindications for two of my medications the first day I looked at the book. Doctor changed the meds after I took the book with me to an appointment.
