Great book. I've only had it for two weeks and it's already turned into a reference that's sitting out in our living room. The easy-to-scan table-of-contents and simple chapter headings ("Humility," "Empathy," "Being Proactive," "Bravery & Strength," etc) make it easy for me to quickly grab a quote before dinner that's relevant to the day's events, then discuss that quote with my children over our meal. We've had lots of good discussions - and I was also surprised by the interesting dynamic of watching my kids discuss the quotes among themselves.Overall a very, very useful book that fantastic for quickly diving into a meaningful conversation with your kids
Thought this book would be great, and originally bought it for my 13 year old son - but my 10 year old daughter grabbed it first and read it cover to cover in one sitting. She put it down and said, "this is awesome! can i read it again?"Totally recommend for kids and adults. I love how the quotes are categorized. Even used a couple in the office to inspire staff and co-workers.
So happy I was told about this book by one of my fifth grade students. I bought two copies for my own two elementary school age daughters. What a terrific way to promote positivity in their lives. I also will be using with my students. I think that it is easy these days to forget how important a positive outlook is and this book certainly helps bring that right back!
I am using this book in my high school English classes as a resource for writing prompts. Students have been inspired by the quotes. They engage in a meaningful and genuine way in both their written reflections and their oral discussion of the quotes. Excellent fodder for growing students' minds!
I sent it to my grandson (11) who can refer to it for encouragement and inspiration as he deals with school, sports and friendships. Congrats. Michael and Kevin. It's great to have a positive book for kids.
It is nice to have a book that I am able to read with my children. There are many uplifting quotes, including one from the Son of God, which was a delight to find in this day and age. Thanks for giving our children positive influences in their lives. A great resource for both parents and teachers.
