This has been an official publication of the arthritis foundation, offering guidelines and a concise, though complete overview on the rheumatic diseases and its approach. This new edition offers a more attractive text to be studied, printed with special paper and colour photos, missing only specific chapters about the drugs used in Rheumatology. Still a great book as well as a reliable source of information for those engaged in the treatment of the rheumatic patients
There are two Primers which an Internist would benefit most with, Primer of Kidney disease and This one. Lucid writing and valuable information ! Incorporates recent information and guidelines, a valuable book. Will benefit a medical student with interest in Rheumatic diseases and the Internist for sure ! I guess the Rheumatologist would also find it a useful revision.
Used to be free dangit. The new version is an improvement though. The most helpful reference and review for Med student or resident on rheumatology. Not too detailed, but enough extra info some rheumatologists don't even know.
A comprehensive look at some of the rheumatic diseases that have been identified thus far. This book is definitely for those who have a medical background, as it assumes a certain level of knowledge.
Great book to get a handle on rheumatic disease. As a primary care provider (NP) working with uninsured/underserved patients, I see many of these conditions come through our doors. Unfortunately, I needed to obtain a very good understanding of these diseases very quickly. I found this book after spending sometime "shadowing" a rheumatologist and he suggested this book. Best recommendation to date.
Good book. A little hard to read, but it is a medical school book. Has all of the pertinent info and pics to go with it.
The resident's rheum go to book. Excellent coverage of topics. Very nice to have the digital copy, so I can read during downtime and not lug the book around with me.
This book is excellent for understanding arthritic diseases (I had no idea there are so many). Of all the books I've read on the subject - this one is the best.
