I am finding this a great tool for my studies..and its great to have them all in one book!!!!!!!! would recoment to any nursing student!!!
This all-in-one care planning guide helped to write out those weekly care plans! It has all the info you need in one place! No need to hunt through all your books for info. It's all right in this one! A must-have for nursing school!
This book got me through SOO many care plans during nursing school. Provides a great outline and foundation for a careplan, care map, and NANDAs. Separated by category and so easy to access whatever you're looking for. This was my go-to book
I have used a number of different care plan books during my time in nursing school, and this was by far the worst. I was forced to purchase this because it was "required" by my nursing school and I hardly ever used it. I purchased the Nursing Diagnosis Handbook instead which is so much better and makes writing care plans a lot easier - Nursing Diagnosis Handbook Evidence Based Planning
As a nursing student, I found this book to be helpful in doing care plans and creating interventions. I haven't used it as my sole resource, but it is helpful for finding the right wording (or just finding what you're trying to say!).
This care-planning book has some wonderful care plans for some very specific nursing diagnoses, but its content for nursing diagnoses that could be applied to a broader population are somewhat scant. The maternity and pediatric sections are very short. It is also difficult to search for nursing diagnoses as there are many missing from the index. If the nursing diagnosis you're looking for is featured in the book, you're in luck because each diagnosis has a myriad of interventions and rationales.
I had 4 care plan books just for cross references for my first clinical semester. I was learning how to write care plan in concept map format. Among 4, this book was the most useful. Some books combines all possible interventions and teachings for one single nursing diagnosis in one big section. This book breaks interventions and teachings down in subsections according to nursing diagnosis under different situations/disease/illness. So it was very convenient to use. I recommend this book.
I found this book quite helpful in creating care plans and discussing interventions in the clinical setting. I am an LPN student and we are assigned many care plans throughout our clinical rotations. At first, I found the book to be confusing, but the more care plans I created, the easier it was to navigate through the book and find what is most relevant to my patients.
