If one is looking to examine Christianity with an open mind, don't start here. This book seems to have been thrown together quickly without much research. In one instance, the authors identify a “leading atheist” and then supply an illogical argument instead of citing an appropriate reference. The authors claim to be able to help the reader refute a “multitude of errors” but ultimately show their lack of research on the topic. The most respected critics of Christianity do not use these simple, ridiculous arguments that are used as examples in this book. It is almost laughable as there are much better apologetic writings in existence. If one is truly looking for a balanced approach to examining Christianity, this book is not a good choice.
A good review for any person who wants to be able to spot errors in logic by atheists. One of the most powerful tools is to simply ask the person how they know their claim is true? Most will have no answer. I have also discovered that With a person who is very hostile to Christianity and is really not interested in honestly examining the evidence it is often a much better approach to appeal to the conscience instead of the intellect. The truth is they know God exists they are simply suppressing the truth. Learn how to give the good person test which appeals to the conscience and avoids arguments.
As a passionate person for the apologetic I think this is a must reading book for people like me that are not experts on the subject.I greatly recommend this book to every person that would like to be more accurate in his or her defense to every one that comes against the truth.
Not at all what I was looking for. I wanted a logic primer that showed how to use logic with apologetics, something along the lines of how Dr. William Lane Craig uses logic. I have no idea what the purpose of this book is.
Nice book for those just getting into logic based apologetics! Short and to the point with a plethora of logical fallacies to discuss.
