This book will have you turning the pages just to see if and when Throttle and Kimber get together. Throttle throws around his macho bulls*** because his brother Hawke hired a female mechanic . Throttle hates the idea of a female working on Harleys. Well thank goodness for Kimber's kickass no holds bar attitude because she puts him in his place! Girl Power!👏 And she rides a pink Harley! That passes him off too! I love these two together . Then there's the creep peeking into women's houses and watching them undress into there bar and panties. I felt so creeped out and violated when this would happen. The guy is a family man! He goes home to his wife and kids at night after breaking into women's homes and stealing there bras and panties! This creep had me until the end of not knowing who he was! I couldn't believe it! The suspense through out the book on when this guy was going to strike Kimber had me darn near climbing out of my chair! I love the suspense the writer brings to this series, it's awesome! Can't wait to read the next ! This series is so worth reading but I would start at book one so you get to know the brothers and the other old ladies.
I always think when I read one of Chia's books....ok now I've found my true book boyfriend....I do til she writes a new one!!! This book didn't disappoint....I was ready for Throttle and Kimber's story. Kimber isn't a stranger to the MC life, coming from an abusive past with her ex. She is tough and soft at same time, and can out mechanic any man.Throttle vows to never settle down with an old lady...he likes it free and easy. he won't be burned again.when he meets Kimber at Hawks shop, he is shocked and irritated that she works there, and even more irritated by his reaction to wanting her.They both fight the attraction for one another, but finally give in. Kimber tries to tell Throttle that it can't be anything more, and in his mind it's not over til it's over for him.this book has so much action in it, I couldn't put it down once I started. another great book and story!!! loved it!!!!
This is a tough one to review. I could not stand Throttle...almost did a DNF at 18%. I love this series and find Ms. Wilders writing entertaining, clever and engrossing, but this one was tougher to like. He was such an ass, more so than the others. I know they are outlaw bikers and it's their code but the others weren't written in such a way. Also, I liked Kimber so that helped and Throttle was redeemed eventually.There seemed to be a lot of story threads left open and that isn't usually the case in her stories either, hence the 3 stars. I won't list any spoilers it just seems so different compared to the other books. I still recommend this series and look forward to more. Rock was a bit of an ass too but the teaser of his story is yet again different and intriguing so I will definitely read it. 😀
Well Chiah you did it again! I love that an MC member finally got brought to his knees wanting someone and had to fight his way to Kimber. She is a determined and strong willed women who he couldn't except as a mechanic in Hawks bike shop. The rapist murderer through me off that is for sure. I thought it was someone who worked at the police station. Well can't give away anymore but it was another of the insurgents story that I couldn't put down until it was completed. Can't wait for book 8 Rock's Redemption coming in October 23, 2016.
Ok, I must say I love this series and each story in it. But by far this one is my favorite of them all. I live all the guys in the club. But Throttle is truly a bad a**. He is alpha, strong protective, hard, sexy and just completely HOT. Kimber was different from the beginning. I could totally relate to her working and doing a job that is dominated usually only by men ( I worked in a factory of all men me being the only female on the floor. It wasn't always easy). Kimber is strong, feisty, doesn't take sh** from anyone even if it is a biker. And she is independent.It was great fun to see the changes in them both from the beginning of the book to the end. I must say that when it came to the happenings going on I had three suspects. I live that I was kept guessing until the end.I will say their was on point on the rode trip, ok twice, that I gasped at said out loud " oh sh**!!!" I was expecting something but when what happened happened I was still caught of guard. I loved and hated the build up. Lol.So by far this is my favorite of all the books. It had me the whole time. Kudos to Ms. Wilder. You did a great job. I would recommend this book and series to others.
Kimber is a sexy, motorcycle riding, motorcycle mechanic. She is one of the best at Hawk's garage. He is the VP of the Insurgents Motorcycle Club.Throttle is the Sergeant in Arms of the club. A total hottie and manwhore. He is never settling for one woman when he can have two or three at once.When he goes to the garage and sees a woman working there, he goes ballistic. He is of old school thinking..a woman shouldn't be doing a mans job. Kimber was an old lady before so she knows how bikers are. But she works in a mans world and can hold her own. Throttle can't get her off his mind and has to have her. When they do get together, WOW!But now a peeping tom has her in his sights and he is escalating to rape and murder. Can Throttle save her before he strikes again?Awesome story. Change your panties hot. Sexy biker with a bad temper. Smart, independent mechanic. A crazy psycho. I honestly didn't like Throttle at first. He was a major a-hole but when you see a little of the softer side, makes you fall in love with him yourself. Suspense that'll keep you guessing to the end.
