I read this for a class and it has so many excellent, thought-provoking black texts. The footnotes save lives, as do the author introductions and time period introductions. These tools help you get a good in-depth reading.
good book and well-informed and lots of literature books from various great African American writers.
Some really heavy stories. Well put together. The table of contents is really easy to follow.
The book met my requirements as to what I was instructed to purchase for my class.
