If you are looking for a review of nursing theory, public policy, and research as it relates to a nurse practitioner business, this may be the book for you. The authors of the book were apparently trying to write a nursing textbook and a guide to how to start and run a business. As a nursing professor and entrepreneur, I believe they fail miserably on both fronts. The last thing our profession needs is another nursing textbook that drones on and on about nursing theory and how it "may" be applicable to your practice. As a business owner, the last thing I need is to be preached at from the ivory tower about how to put together a practice. As a business owner, I want to hear about what works, and why from a practical standpoint. I saw very little of that in this book.
I have been in business for a while and still learned some news things from this book.
