Gauss invented new and improved methods for calculating the orbits of bodies around the sun. He made a name for himself in astronomy when he calculated the position of Ceres, an asteroid that astronomers had lost track of months earlier and had been trying in vain to relocate. He expanded upon those investigations and, several years later, delivered a landmark text. This supposed reprint does not contain that great work. Instead, the publishers just printed the tables at the end of that book and are trying to pass it off as the whole thing. I'm serious. This book is just pages and pages of tables, with a few drawings at the end. They honestly just scanned the pages after the original's appendix and published it.DO NOT buy this edition. If you absolutely want a paper copy, try one of the other selections on . Otherwise, get the e-book from Google.
This supposed reprint DOES NOT CONTAIN THAT GREAT WORK OF GAUSS. Instead, the publishers just printed some of the tables at the end of that book and ARE TRYING TO PASS IT OFF AS THE WHOLE BOOK!!!. This book is just 50 pages and pages of tables, with a few drawings at the end.
