I've yet to visit Spain (reading the literary companion is part of my preparation), but I can't imagine a more painless and enjoyable way to get acquainted with the country.
It is a must if you are interested in Spanish culture. Clearly explained and straightforward in style. If you like literature and Spanish, do not doubt it a minute.
