This is a comprehensive, practical book on tropical diseases for the clinician, in particular for those who do not see tropical diseases in their daily practice. It's up-to-date and fits in your lab jacket pocket. For those medical mission trips, indispensible!
After reviewing 4 texts on tropical medicine I purchased this as well as another. This was my 2nd favorite text. It is very good and more thorough than the other. It is a little more difficult read but makes an excellent reference text because of it's thoroughness. I recommend it.
Dr. Meunier has addressed a great variety of diseases and presented them in an interesting, informative and practical way. This book serves as a valuable resource that one could refer to on a regular basis. His work is especially important given the high mobility of people traveling all over the world. I highly recommend the book.
Yann is a knowledgeable and likeable author. This is a well organized and user friendly publication full of useful information.
