I have been exploring Paris since 1993 and have bought nearly every available map to help me find monuments, museums, metro stops, and shopping areas. The Borch map is not only the best, it is the best by far. 's "book description" is complete and accurate. Only one little glitch, the most recent version (9th edition 2010) precludes inclusion of the latest Metro/RER improvements. Not a problem though, as you can get the current map in PDF from the ratp dot fr web site, choose the English version, and click on "Download the guide to the Paris public transport system" link.UPDATE 20 July 2016. I see that there is a 16th edition (2015). Be sure to get this latest edition, as there have been numerous changes to the Metro.
This map was obviously laid out by seasoned travelers who appreciate the way the human eye and mind works. Borch has done a magnificent job of color coding, type-setting and constructing this hardy map. It is the best of its kind.
this map was awesome! it includes a tiny metro map on one side, and has all streets but the tiniest alleyways. we used this in paris for 8 days and it was perfect. i compared this to the other maps out there, and this one is by far the most detailed.
Probably a good map for travel but didn't work for my purposes. I would not have ordered this one if I had realized that it has half the city on one side and half on the other side. I thought it unfolded to show the entire city, which is what I needed for my students' history project.
I use these maps when I do a Paris project with my students. They are laminated, so they can be marked on with an erasable marker which can then be removed. They have metro stops and various monuments and such marked..very helpful. I chose them to replace maps which had gotten too old and tattered..I think they will hold up well and my students are easily able to find the information they need on them. Good choice
Very nicely laid out Paris map of streets, hightlights, historic districts, etc. Easy to carry everywhere. I recommend this map to anyone new to Paris especially.
