Sure, this is aimed at the Torchwood fan who is unlikely to complain too much (myself included), but the wikipedia entries on Torchwood have most all of the information in this book. But they don't have the photographs. If that's worth it to you, you'll enjoy the book, but there isn't much information to be gained from it.
I just got through reading the Torchwood Encyclopedia and I really enjoyed the book. It has so much information in it about the programme. If you are a fan of Torchwood it is worth the time it'll take to read this book.
This is a wonderful resource for fans of the show, and those who write "Torchwood" fanfiction (guilty). Any reference to a street, character, or TV show is covered extensively. Not sure what to call Jack's wriststrap? Can't remember where the Hub is exactly located? It's in here. Even some of the radio dramas are included in this. About the only drawback is the 4th season and novels based on the TV show aren't covered, but that was due to the time the book was released. It's definitely worth having if you want to know the tiny details of the show.
THE WORK IS AN EXCELLENTLY ILLUSTRATED HARDCOVER EDITION. IT INCLUDES ALL THE MEMBERS OF TORCHWOOD LIVING AND DEAD FULL OF INFORMATION AND BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS THROUGHOUT THE BOOK. ANY FAN OF THE SERIES NEEDS TO HAVE THIS IN THEIR LIBRARY.
