I bought this book, so I'm using it, but finding its helpfulness to be uneven. Some of the info seems to be either slightly outdated or at least has large gaps. For example, I've just used it to review Type II diabetes meds we were given in lecture, and it doesn't have any info at all about 2 of the 5 categories of NIDDM drugs I'm supposed to be familiar with. It also has an awful lot of typos, which disappoints me that it seems nobody proofread it with much care.On the positive side, I do think the little drawings and mnemonics will help me remember the info I find helpful. So it isn't worthless, but I hope to eventually find a better pharm review book.
Pharmacology was a tough class d/t all the information. This book really helped me organize it and remember the material! I still remember some of the crazy pix they have in it. I would recommend this if you are a visual learner. It also gives you great sayings so you can remember side effects and whatnot.
I purchased this, and Nursing Made Insanely Easy, at the recommendation of my NCLEX Prep instructor. I wish I had them when I was in school! The Pharmacology edition makes remembering drug classifications, side effects and theraputic effects much easier to remember for me. I passed the NCLEX, and this absolutely helped.
Love it..making an A in Pharmacology! Many of my classmates are failing! Buy the book, it's worth the price and really helps you learn.
This really got me going as far as meds in my class. I had been neglecting studying meds because it seemed so tedious. This is a good jumpstarter. It can't replace your drug book but it will help you remember basics. Highly recommended for those without a close to photographic memory.
Great book, wish I had it before I took Pharmacology. It makes it sso easy. Really enjoy using this book.!,!!
The illustrations and acronyms have helped throughout my nursing course. It'll be a great tool for the rest of my schooling as well!
