The book is a thoroughly informative overview of the human lifespan from conception to late life. It covers three developmental domains for each age group, Physical, Psychosocial, and Cognitive. It is a book that does a pretty good job of holding my attention, which I appreciate.
This is the second psychology book I have purchased from , and I am glad it was a new updated version, it is very user friendly for my online class and has outlines of everything in the chapter condensed at the end.
Bought for a class. Contains same info as any text. Nothing new. Nothing innovative. Same old, same old. Pointless to review since no one who is not in school & required to buy will do so. blah blah blah
Because of the way my class was, I hardly opened this book. Just by taking notes in class I was able to do well on exams and projects. However, when I did have to look things up the book was clearly written and helpful. But, since all textbooks are wildly overpriced, I would say skip it.
The book is very easy to read, very broad, and goes into enough detail to help you understand the material you're reading. It's extremely easy finding specific information whether skimming through the chapters or index. I ordered a manual and found that I didn't have to open it a single time.
Pretty comprehensive- a little redundant but most textbooks are and that's a good thing. The information is up to date and scientifically accurate.
This book is a comprehensive review of human development, and a useful book to have in anyone's library, but especially for those specializing in human development, psychology, health care, and education.
Very interesting material. I feel this is actually one text book I shall keep for a long time. It helps in my studies and it seems to have validity in the source material.
