This story talks about how the older sister, Paris, teaches "her" twins about their holiday traditions. From picking out a Christmas tree, to going ice skating, and even meeting Santa - their traditions are fun and kids can relate to them! My 3 year old kept pointing out that these are things we do too. This is a great story and I really enjoy reading it to my girls - it just might become a holiday tradition! I received this in exchange for my unbiased, honest review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Since the holidays are approaching, including Christmas, this has been such a wonderful hit with my friend's children as well as my nephew! My Twins' First Christmas is a very colorful book that illustrates the life of Paris and her twin sisters Liberty and Victoria'sFirst Christmas together. This book is narrated by Paris, the oldest sister, and she goes through the traditions that she experiences through Christmas. The book is very well written, and it has many colorful illustrations that bring the story to life. The colors are bright and vibrant, and have definitely grabbed the attention of my nephew who loves to read it along! Not only My Twins' First Christmas explains the traditions of Paris' family during Christmas, but also other traditions like Hanukkah. The book encourages children to celebrate and respect other's celebrations, and not just Christmas. Paris also teaches her twin sisters how her Jewish friends celebrate Hanukkah. This book also teaches children how to help their parents and the homeless during the holidays. It teaches them the importance of being there for those who are less fortunate.Overall, this is an excellent book to read and I definitely recommend it to all children! The holidays is such a perfect time to read it too!

In our house, we love everything about Christmas, and this title will be added to some of our favorites that we read year round. The pictures were cute, and my 9 year old absolutely adores the Paris Morris Twins books! They are a little below her reading level, but we all need a relaxing read sometimes. She has read the title 5 times (at least) in the short few days we have had it.This would be a perfect read for a 2nd or 3rd grade, in my opinion. It is a well written, fun book for the whole family to enjoy!I received this book for free to review. I was not compensated otherwise for my review. My experiences and opinions are my own.

I was truly impressed with how the author wrote about Christmas festivities and was able to be inclusive of other faiths. Yes, this is a book about how twins add an extra layer of complexity to an older sibling's life during this time of year, but it is also a book that introduces how other faiths celebrate the holidays. It is a wonderful introduction for a preschooler to learn about Jewish customs and others like Kwanzaa. Traditions such as baking cookies are also entwined with the message of giving to others which is another touch point. Of course, the mention of a trip to Union Square during Christmas brings back my memories of my own family tradition!

Another great book in the series! This specific book follows Paris around throughout the Holidays with her new twins. It's a very good book to read to your kids as it explains many different Holiday traditions for different religions. Each individual experience that Paris discusses and illustrates throughout the story can be typical of any young family! It allows many people, of all different cultures, to relate to this story and put themselves in Paris' shoes. Can't wait to read the next book in the series! :)

We received this book for free, the review is my own. I took my children out of public school because around Christmas time, everything that was taught about the holidays was everything, but Christmas. I like the book because it talks about what a family does about Christmas and talks about two other holidays that happen around Christmastime. The book was cute, perfect for kids. The book reminded me of my childhood. We searched the woods for a live tree and we decorated it together. We also lived in the snow belt, so we did a lot of sledding. This book was great because it was really about Christmas, family and the fun we all have together around the holidays. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, this was my first read.

My daughters love reading books, or should I say, they love it when I read to them. They know the My Twins' series when I won two books before from a giveaway and then having the chance to review another title a few months back. The book, My Twins' First Christmas, is very well written. My daughters love the colorful and lively illustrations and they love learning about Christmas as well as Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. The story is put together well and is simple making it easier for my daughters to understand the story. This is a great bedtime book as well as a nice book to read specially with the Holiday season and Christmas season coming soon.
