preparing for Core exam, and this book is easy to read and appears very high yield. It is improved over the previous version, there are more images. Downside is the "case review" accompanying this text has not yet been updated. Also I feel that all the new Requisites seem physically "cheaper" than the old editions (thinner paper, less robust book construction). Perhaps this is the industry trying to push me to the electronic version? I am old (second residency here) and simply CAN'T STUDY FROM AN IPAD.
I'm a rad trainee and heard great things about this book but the poor print quality is a let down. I have returned the book for another copy and it is the same washed out pictures which look like they've all been windowed badly, not a good way to learn. Very poor standard compared to the ultrasound requisites which has excellent image contrast.
On my second read. I had the old edition and this is definitely an easier read. Has everything the general radiologist needs to know on MSK.
I'm a rheumatology fellow and I bought this book to get better at MSK imaging. The pictures are nice but there's not a lot of good charts and tables. It is also very wordy. The price is decent though compared to arthritis in black and white.
Excellent book for residents on rotation, as well as periodic review. Nice basic coverage of musculoskeletal MR. Highly recommend this book.
