I looked at all of the Kindle Spanish-English Dictionaries. I really could not find one I liked. The M. Webster was easy to use but very incomplete. What I really wanted was something like the Collins Spoanish Dictionary & Grammar, which I have in paperback and has both Spanish to English, and English to Spanish sections. I wanted to be able to use a dictionary on my Kindle as a default, so when reading spanish text, I could get highlighted words to be translated. Collin's doesn't support this. Most of the other Spanish Dictionaries don't support default language attributes for Kindle. However, I did find one, and while it has its faults, it is at least complete, comprehensive and also can be made as your default dictionary on the Kindle. My only criticism is that it would be nice to get a full conjugation of a Spanish Infinitive Verb. I gave it four stars, because it is the most comprehensive e-dicitonary I could find, and it seems easy to use. It supports slang usage, which is invaluable when trying to read Spanish literature.

I bought this book for Kindle because it says in the product description:"You can set Spanish-English Dictionary as your default Kindle dictionary so that whenever you see Spanish word that you don't understand, you can have Kindle translate it for you in English.Make your Spanish reading much easier with this Spanish Dictionary!"However, the book must not be properly formatted to substitute afor the English dictionary, because it is not listed as a dictionary I can switch to. I have another Spanish dictionary I can switch to, but not this one.

Works well and has a fairly solid set of words. It gives you a simple set of instructions for how to set a dictionary as your default. Keep in mind this is not something you can easily do outside having an actual kindle e-reader. So if you are reading with an app then you won't be able to get this to work. One other thing I noticed is that sometimes if it still doesn't seem to work, you might need to edit the metadata (tags) of your book to make sure it is set to tell the Kindle it is in Spanish. The book I was trying to read at first was in Spanish but was not tagged as Spanish so the Kindle was still only using the ordinary English dictionary. After editing the book's information in Calibre, I was able to get it to work properly. So before worrying that this doesn't work, make sure that you (1) follow the instructions for setting this as your default dictionary, (2) don't buy this if you don't have an actual kindle e-reader because it won't work, (3) make sure your book is tagged as being in Spanish if you still can't get it to work.Marked as 4 stars because it doesn't catch everything and certain compound verbs aren't going to show up properly. So if a direct object or indirect object is added to the end of the verb rather than placed before the verb then the dictionary doesn't recognize it. This means that if you see a word like despedirme, the dictionary doesn't translate this at all. Thankfully another Spanish translation app I have on my phone does recognize these but it would be nice if I could have this recognize them properly.

It's great being able to highlight a word in spanish text and have the dictionary definition pop up just as it does in english now. Simply buy this dictionary and change the dictionary in the set-up pages and it works. Finding conjugated verbs is sometimes a challenge but it does well for the most part. And you can always go to the dictionary with one click to find the infinitive and the definition if you have to.

this is a good dictionary for the root verb but it doesnt have entries for compound verb formations like diciendole in that case you have to split up the verb and pronouns: dicien = tell , do le = them to or tell them in the dictionary space to add a note you can put the meaning in and save....(I am new to Kindle so I dont know how everything functions yet) you can always look up the compounded verb/ verb noun clause (whatever it is called in Spanish) on google translate not the perfect solution but better than nothing

Easy to figure out !! has Common sayings. Pronounciation is the easiest to decipher. Hightly recommend for those traveling to spanish speaking countries.

I had hoped to be able to locate both Spanish and English words, but this book is just a long list which, for some reason, isn't searchable. Not worth using on a Kindle, at any rate.
