4 stars because I get a kick out of these volumes. I've always wanted to follow up on weather predictions--but forget when the time comes. I don't take those predictions too seriously, but it would be nice to do a data check (I am sure that someone in cyberspace has done that).That said, I enjoy the variety of issues appearing in works such as this. Some examples from the 2017 piece:Gestation periods for different species (e.g., 640-645 days for elephants and 12-15 days for a hen)Eclipses coming up (Moon-February 11; total eclipse of the sun-August 21)Weather-I live in Pennsylvania, part of Zone 1 (New England and Northeast). December-rain and snow; nothing extraordinary; January-Mild at the outset, an Alberta Clipper later, February (ugh)-bitter cold, March-stormy weather, from snow to rain. Let's see what happens!Eating wild foods. What to look for and what is good.And so on. The usual interesting potpourri of items covered. . . .
I enjoy the Farmer's almanac. This book has a lot of information packed into a little book. I have read about half of the articles inside and they are quite interesting. There is some historical stuff in it too from over the years of its existence.

So on the money, the weather affects our life style more than you think! This book is a great tool, it allows you the opportunity to be prepared!
Still a great book.I buy one every year .I compare it other alamanacs.I enjoy all weather,nature.gardening tips and cooking tips.
