This book is written very well and is totally up to date. Only useful if you want to go into ENT. Way too detailed otherwise. I've seen lots of 3rd year students who want to go into otolaryngology carrying it around in their pockets on ENT rotations. It is not the place to review anatomy. You will need a separate source for anatomy.
I am an intern doing an ENT rotation. The ENT residents use Pasha and K.J. Lee for didactics. If I were doing an otolaryngology I would definitely invest in those two books. However, they are expensive. This book has proven to me to hold it's own. It was definitely a good buy for me. I would especially recommend this book to medical students doing an ENT rotation.
This is one of the first books to purchase if you are a medical student who is contemplating a career in otolaryngology. This book has many of the answers to questions you'll be asked as a medical student during your first few times in the operating room & clinic with members of the otolaryngology team. This is very high-yield and I recommend it as a superb place to begin your journey.
Nice revision text, excellent for final exams. An e-book format would make this a must-buy.
Similar to Pasha, but less esoteric. 3 stars because the index is absolutely useless (all of the page numbers are wrong).
