I am a faithful reader of The Witches Almanac and am so happy that it is available via yearly AND I can pre-order. I have been reading/perusing this annual almanac for 20+ years. Love it. Good for people who have short attention spans, a lot of valuable info packed into this goodie. Recommended for folks who like a variety of metaphysical type info. I like to leave it ion the living room table. So many of my friends and family pick it up, flip through it amd then go buy it. :)
I absolutely love the entire series of these yearly books. The lore is fantastic to read and learn from. This year's book is covering everything from invocation to Diana to Presage, Astrological keys, Eclipses and Retrogrades, Astrological signs are spoken about within 2 pgs. giving a very nice amount of information for each sign in the Zodiac. There are also calendars for each Zodiac sign which gives the reader even more information. There are many prayers/spells that you will learn plus recipes to use, as well as all the many additional amounts of information you will learn as you read. I have been personally reading this series now for three years. And this year is issue#35, and I personally plan on purchasing all of the back issues that I currently do not have. They are truly worth both the time and money to have them all. What's also really nice is the fact that none of the books within this series are redundant or boring in any way. I highly recommend this series of books to any new or long-time practitioner of Wicca to get in their library collection. Enjoy & have fun reading everyone. Blessed BE
This is now the third year in a row I have bought "The Witches' Almanac" and once again I am thrilled with it! These books are indeed magnificent keepsakes and are, in my opinion, indispensable for any witch or magick practitioner. There is so much amazing, enlightening and valuable information, so many great stories and ideas. I love how they have been focusing on the elements (the last couple years were "Mystic Earth" and "Fire, the Transformer") and I cannot wait to get the "Water" issue next year and complete the set! I learn so many wonderful things in each issue and I love reading and re-reading them throughout the year. There is so much innate magick in these books that just makes them all the more special; each time I get one there are articles that speak directly to me, that are about things that I recently thought of or wondered about before buying them. Sometimes you feel like much of it is written just for you! Are you on an occult or pagan path? Are you a witch, shaman, wise woman or wild man? Do you want to be a natural healer, or get in touch with the hidden esoteric world? Do you want to deepen your spirituality, your magickal skill, or simply broaden your mind? Then this almanac is definitely for you! I will definitely be buying this at least one more time next year, but most likely will buy it every single year I can!
I've been getting this book for years, mostly for the annual horoscope. But it's always full of interesting little articles and news that I wouldn't come across on my own necessarily. I love that I have a shelf with these that I can grab and browse any time I want a little short something to read.
i buy one of these every year. i love these almanacs...i've bought plenty of others in the past, but just love these in particular. the articles are varied and interesting. i primarily use it for gardening by the moon, but like to browse the different subjects when i have time. wouldn't even think of doing without one!
I've been looking for more and more books as I dive deeper into my craft, and this is a wonderful addition. The articles are on a wide range of subject from many paths, and the astrology section is very in-depth. I bought the compilation book "Witches All" straight after to catch up on the previous editions as well.
I just couldn't wait to add another 5-star rating to this outstanding publication. Intelligent and maturely presented, the articles are well informed and well written. The annual material is interesting and definitely worth following. Beautifully illustrated with lots of juicy side-bar info and tid-bits. Captivating stories, history and lore. A must-have for any practicing Pagan and/or Witch, regardless of tradition.
What a wonderful and interesting book! I will continue to purchase later editions and recommend it to my like minded friends. My only complaint is that it arrived with a damaged cover. I take very good care of my books so I hate that this one is damaged straight out of the box.
