From the British Viz magazine, this is their annual feast of fun, filth, satire, tabloid-style sensationalism, readers' letters and useful hints and tips to help us through the trials of everyday life. If you're reading this then you may already be familiar with the Viz magazine formula; but, just in case you're not, it's basically about sex, lavatories and the annoying habits of all human beings apart from you and me.The usual favourite characters appear, including Meddlesome Ratbag, Biffa Bacon, Johnny Fartpants, Mr. Logic, TV presenter Roger Mellie, Big Vern the London crook with an inconsistent conscience, and those two large women whom I can't name here because, when I do, keeps deleting this review. Celebrities both past and present receive ample coverage including the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Queen, Yuri Gagarin, Thatcher, Kim Jong Un, Jeremy Clarkson, Sting, George Osborne, Michael Palin, Pamela Anderson, Robson Green and Samantha Fox – the latter presenting a useful historical survey of the Phwoars of the Roses.Sensational tabloid-style stories include '14,000 Rabbits Removed from Woman's Bum', and there's a useful career guide 'So you want to be a Vicar?' which I'll leave to your imagination. The letter pages include many delights, as do the Top Tips sections bringing humour both black and brown, especially those indispensable hints aimed at specific professions such as: 'Musicians: Avoid purchasing expensive tuning forks by learning to fart in the required key', or 'Undertakers: A handful of ball bearings placed in the coffin will reveal which of your pallbearers isn't doing his fair share of the lifting'.
