this was a required book for my schooling. I used it in class and that was it. It is a good resource though and read through much of it. It is very good because of the way healthcare and informatics are now working together. It helps grasp those concepts better.

I have read many books on this subject. Some books provide to much information, while others glaze over the subject matter and worst of all some books are just plain "puff."This was the perfect introduction!

The book is simple to understand, and yet complex in nature. The information can easily be understood by a novice like me.It give me the basic foundation for me to grow. I really really like it. One of the authors happen to be my tutor and she is a great teacher. She let informatics comes alive and let me love the subject.

Great source. It was a required text needed for my very first bioinformatics class. It was easy to maneuver and very helpful information. I loved that I could rent it and will be renting it again for my Capstone class.

I use this book for my informatics nursing course. I really like that it is easy to read (not too technical, which is nice if you are not necessarily trying to be an IT nurse) and the information that it contains is a good starting point if you want to get into the field. Great reference book. Highly recommended!

Excellent resource for the nurse who is new to healthcare informatics.

As a grad student in informatics, I found this book refreshingly easy to understand. A good jumping off point if you want to learn about medical informatics.

Did not use it as much as I thought. It is well written, it has a lot of informative and useful facts that could be applied in the field of Informatics.
